Oil boiler
An oil-fired boiler is often used in place of traditional oil-fired steam and water boilers and is usually chosen for its ability to reach higher temperatures at lower operating pressures. According to the steam table for conventional water and steam boilers, high steam temperatures require equally high pressures. Temperatures up to 300°C can be reached in a non-pressurized hot fuel oil boiler, and temperatures up to 400°C can be reached in a pressurized hot fuel oil boiler. Oil boilers run on electricity, gas, diesel fuel, fuel oil or biomass
Advantages of thermal oil plant:
- Higher thermal efficiency
- High operating temperatures, usually up to 300 °C near atmospheric pressure
- No need for treated and preheated feed water
- Corrosion has been eliminated
- Low maintenance costs
- Relatively silent operation – no phase change and steam shocks
